THE SAN FRANCISCO HOUSING FOUNDATION (SFHF) is a nonprofit organization that supports low-income property owners in San Francisco. Created to assist income-qualified property owners with real property legal issues, SFHF will help tackle a variety of legal cases from non-payment of rent to neighbor disputes. SFHF was created after Supervisor Leland Yee sponsored successful legislation that provided funding from the City and County of San Francisco.

In order to qualify, owners must reside in San Francisco and must have a gross income that does not exceed the Housing and Urban Development’s “median income” for the San Francisco Bay Area.

SFHF provides assistance to the following types of owners:
Home
Apartment
Tenancy-In-Common
Condominium
